Habit is something that is subconscious, tends to
be a kind of need for us, and it is difficult to change. There is an interesting phrase that I found which is,
"We first make our habits, and then our habits make us." What that mean is, we
can build habits, then those habits that make up ourselves. Habit is not just a
matter of physical action. Habits are also about thinking. So my point of view
how to help my classmates to improve their English is by making English as our
habit. The ability to create a habit always exist in our
life. We do not need to think more about how to make it as our habits. It’s
so simple just make it as a part of our life. We can speak English to
everyone, watching movie in English, listen to English songs, write a diary in English, and try to translate all sentences we see in English or in other word knows its counter-part or its translation in English. We can also try to practice our way of
thinking, such as, Use English when we think, when we analyze something, and when we have to act on a situation in a certain way, then it
would form a mindset. Mindset is a kind of habit that affect the way we think. Just like physical
habits, mindset is difficult to change. So we are our habits. We are shaped by habits. And we do not need to learning about grammar or something else, but practice it in our
life and make it become our habit. Then I assure you our English will improve without us
even knowing it.
