Jonattan Geraldo Albertus's Point of View Regarding "How We Help Our Classmates to Improve Their English"

      England was once a strong nation which on its quest to achieve gold, glory and gospel, it conquered countless nations. During that period of time, England also spread their own language to the nations that they has conquered in order to prove their dominance and ease the way of relaying command to those nations. Therefore nowadays, few hundred years after that era, its language, English has grown into such a powerful language that used as international language and becomes the bridge for communication in a global scope.

      Casting aside the history of English and how it's spread, one could say that it's essential to learn that language in this era. Since it's so powerful and widely used, one could gain access to numerous information just by having the ability to understand English. Whether it's through the capabilities to speak fluently and listen thoroughly or the proficiency with glossary and vocabulary to be able to write outstanding papers and the capacity to read and understand numerous new information, One thing is sure, that the mastery of English is an indispensable quality that one should posses.

      Generally speaking, since English is commonly used, the ability of utilizing English is a crucial things that one should have. Yet ironically, countering the increasing needs to have that quality in various fields, some people still having difficulties to come in term with English. There's a lot of factors that causing that but in this case, the core stuff that are going to be discussed will be the solution for a certain scope which is regarding college students in Indonesia rather than going all out discussing about all the matter related to the problem of utilizing English. The targeted college students that are being spoken of, more specifically in President University Class 1 of Information Technology Batch 2017.

      To maximize the potential, all of the member of the class should utilize the gift that has been given to them. Which is the access to countless information via internet that the former generations didn't even got the chance to get their hand on. Those technology made life a lot easier since the process of relaying information has been shortened immensely. Therefore, what the writer suggest is that, given the privilege of that technology, one should use it to gain and trade information with each other whether it's through the net or the real world. Especially since one is majoring in Information Technology which most of the material necessary is written in English, by learning English one'll able to understand the material given and vice versa.
